The BAS Agent Exam allows candidates to meet the requirements of a “board approved course in basic GST/BAS taxation principles” when registering as a BAS agent with the Tax Practitioners Board (TPB). Once registered, you can find work as a bookkeeper, or a registered BAS agent. For small business owners, this experience will help you to fulfil your BAS and bookkeeping duties.

If you are an existing bookkeeper or BAS agent seeking registration, the BAS Agent Exam will assist you in meeting the requirement of a course in GST/BAS Principles in order to register as a BAS Agent in accordance with the requirements of the TPB. During this 2 hour, live, case-study based exam, you will be asked to:
- Complete a GST calculation and BAS statement
- Perform payroll tasks on calculations such as gross wages and super
- Perform short answer questions on applying legislation.
