Tax Institute supports tax professionals of the future

SYDNEY, 7 December 2017: Technological, social, policy, and regulatory changes are impacting the future of the tax profession. These changes will undeniably affect the manner in which tax work is undertaken, and the services that are demanded of tax professionals.

In Australia, significant use is made of tax practitioner services by individual and business taxpayers to meet their compliance requirements. Around 74% of individuals and 95% of businesses use the services of a tax professional.

However, so as to remain relevant in the face of such formidable change, tax professionals will need to adapt their practices.

The Tax Institute is proud to launch our Grow today. Master tomorrow. initiative where we give tax professionals access to key resources and up to date information on the profession. Our initiative will assist them to harness opportunities as they arise. We are committed to helping tax professionals stay on top of the changes of the evolving profession.

Professor Robert Deutsch, Senior Tax Counsel and Head of Education at The Tax Institute says, “Our key aim is to ensure that current and future tax professionals are supported and ready to face these changes. We are committed to shaping the future of the tax profession.”
