The Tax Institute COVID-19 response

SYDNEY, 16th March, 2020: The Tax Institute recognises the outbreak of the Coronavirus (COVID-19) has caused widespread concern across our communities.

We continue to closely monitor the situation, watching and adapting our compliance measures closely against Federal and State Government advice.

Protecting the health and wellbeing of staff and members remains our priority.  We will take all necessary health precautionary measures to ensure our teams and members remain safe.

 Face-to-face events

In line with the most recent advice on events and mass gatherings we are currently reviewing all upcoming face-to-face workshops, lectures and events. Where face-to-face events are proceeding, health precautionary measures will be in place to protect the health and wellbeing of members, guests and our team. These are detailed below*.

The next exam week at The Tax Institute is scheduled for 18 May. The Tax Institute will continue to monitor and review Federal and State Government advice and will continue to work closely with students and advise accordingly on arrangements.

Resources and guidance

The Tax Institute is currently working on a range of resources to help our members during this challenging period.

Dedicated response team

The Tax Institute has established a dedicated team to monitor the global and local situation, and make informed decisions based on the advice of relevant government and health authorities.

*Health precautionary measures

The Tax Institute is taking precautionary measures to protect the health of our members, staff and guests. These include, but are not limited to:

  • Health and travel declarations: Anyone engaging with The Tax Institute, including staff and members who have returned from overseas must self-isolate for 14 days and subsequently must declare this travel to us prior to future face-to-face attendance.
  • Attendance if unwell: anyone who is feeling unwell should refrain from attending any face-to-face exam, workshop, lecture or event.
  • Hygiene: Additional hand sanitisers, tissues and bins through all venues during any exam, workshop, course or event. We encourage all members, staff and guests to continue to practice good hygiene.
